Maybe, maybe not.  There are two reasons to clean your solar panels.  The first is to improve the appearance of your home. The second is to improve the energy output of your solar system. Let's talk about that second one:

BUYER BEWARE: Some solar-panel cleaning companies will make you think that your solar panels must be cleaned on a regular schedule or else they're going to produce WAY LESS than they could. They may say that a dirty solar panel can produce 20% less electricity than a clean one.  If you do a little research online you'll find out that's probably not entirely true. Solar energy experts generally agree that very dirty solar panels will produce less electricity, but their estimates of how much less are curiously different from estimates made by solar panel cleaning companies.  Look we want to clean your solar panels, we really do, but we're not going to lie about how much it'll improve the performance of your panels.
